AnyPuzzle - Privacy Policy

AnyPuzzle ("we," "our," or "the App") is a children's puzzle game designed for kids ages 3 to 12. We are committed to protecting the privacy of children and families. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in connection with the App.

        Summary: AnyPuzzle does not collect, store, or share any personal information. All data (settings, images, progress) is stored locally on your device only and never transmitted to our servers.
    

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

AnyPuzzle does not collect any of the following:

Names, email addresses, or physical addresses
Phone numbers or contact information
Location data (GPS or network-based)
Device identifiers (IMEI, advertising ID, etc.)
Photos or images (all photos stay on your device)
Browsing history or search history
Audio, video, or biometric data
Usage analytics or behavioral data
Crash reports or diagnostic data

The App does not require account creation, login, or any form of registration.

2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The App stores the following information only on your device using local storage (SharedPreferences and the app's file directory). This data is never transmitted to any server:

App settings - language, sound preferences, difficulty level, orientation
Puzzle images - downloaded or photographed images saved as JPEG files
Game progress - puzzle completion status, moves, time, star ratings
Achievements & stickers - earned badges and collectible stickers
Daily streak - consecutive days of play

All locally stored data can be removed by uninstalling the App or clearing the App's data in your device settings.

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses a limited number of third-party services. None of them collect personal information from users:

4. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

AnyPuzzle is designed for children ages 3-12 and complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the Google Play Families Policy.

We do not collect personal information from children (or anyone)
We do not use behavioral or interest-based advertising
We do not allow children to make purchases without parental involvement - the App includes a math-based parental gate that requires solving a calculation (e.g., "5 + 7 = ?") before accessing the purchase screen or settings
We do not enable direct communication between users
Advertising served to children is contextual and child-safe (Google AdMob with child-directed treatment enabled)

5. In-App Purchases

The App offers two optional one-time purchases:

Supporter ($1.99) - removes advertisements
Premium ($4.99) - removes advertisements and unlocks all features

Purchases are processed through the Google Play Store and verified by RevenueCat. No payment information is handled by or accessible to the App. Access to the purchase screen is protected by a parental gate.

6. Advertising

The free version of AnyPuzzle displays small banner advertisements at the bottom of certain screens, provided by Google AdMob.

All ads are served in child-directed treatment mode
No personalized, behavioral, or interest-based ads are shown
No personal data is used for ad targeting
Ads can be permanently removed by purchasing the Supporter or Premium upgrade

7. Image Search & Camera Use

Image search: When a user searches for images, only the search query text is sent to the Pixabay API over HTTPS. SafeSearch is enabled. No user identifiers are included in the request.
Camera / Photo library: The App can access the device camera and photo library to allow users to create puzzles from their own photos. These photos are stored locally only and are never uploaded to any server.
Sharing: The App includes a "Share" feature that lets users share a screenshot of a completed puzzle via the device's native share sheet. This is initiated entirely by the user and uses the operating system's sharing mechanism.

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or share any user data with third parties. The App does not contain any analytics, tracking, or data collection SDKs beyond those listed in Section 3.

9. Data Security

All network communications use HTTPS encryption. Since no personal data is collected or stored on servers, there is no risk of a data breach affecting user information.

10. Data Retention & Deletion

All data is stored locally on your device. To delete all App data:

Uninstall the App, or
Go to device Settings > Apps > AnyPuzzle > Clear Data

There is no server-side data to delete because we do not collect or store any data on servers.

11. Parental Controls

The App includes the following parental safeguards:

Math Gate - A simple math problem (e.g., "8 + 5 = ?") must be solved to access settings, the purchase screen, and the parent dashboard. This prevents young children from accidentally changing settings or making purchases.
Parent Dashboard - A stats screen (behind the math gate) showing total puzzles completed, total time spent, and favorite puzzle topics.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

If we make material changes that affect children's privacy, we will provide prominent notice within the App.
